Tech Deck by Craig Petty

Your new favourite way to close out your card magic just dropped. Perform your favourite card tricks for your audience, and when they ask you how it’s done, tell them electronics. That’s when you open the deck of cards you’ve been performing with and show them the circuits and LEDs inside! This shocking end to your favourite card tricks is something your audience will never see coming. They can even open the deck themselves, and you’ll watch their mouth fall open as the inside of the deck glows a futuristic blue. You’re going to love Craig Petty’s Tech Deck.

Tech Deck is a kicker ending for your favourite card magic. This high-quality block features a magnetic closure and a reed switch-activated circuit board that activates brilliant blue LED bulbs when opened, and turns them off when it’s closed. Even though it’s solid state, this looks just like a real deck of cards until you share its secret with your spectators.

As with all of Craig’s projects, you get an absolutely massive tutorial loaded with tons of ideas for you to use the Tech Deck. Craig teaches the basics of using it and getting it into play. He also takes you through over a dozen card tricks you can perform with Tech Deck to get your creative juices flowing. If you are new to magic, you also get a crash course in basic sleight of hand with cards. Pros will love the reactions they can add to their already-solid routines, and beginners will love the introduction to magic that accompanies this futuristic card-magic finale.

Each unit comes with a red bicycle back but any card back card be attached to fit your performing style.

As excited as we are about this innovation, we also believe it’s important to recognize the creators who paved the way for modern electronic magic. In particular, Dave Forrest’s Trick Vessel deserves acknowledgment. While Vessel was a limited release with its own unique design and display, it stands as one of the notable pieces of thinking in this space.

Whether or not it directly inspired the Tech Deck, we feel it’s important to honour the brilliant ideas that came before, and to celebrate the evolution that brings us to this remarkable new release.
